I see your need for self-validation and posit this.
For a girl to play games and not be special, she must be ugly. You are, assumingly, a lady. It can be assumed that by your investment in the female gender and video games, that you are also a gamer. In this, you also fail to qualify yourself as exception to the rule. Thus, you, being a girl who plays video games, must either be one of two things, not pretty or not a gamer.
You are not a unicorn. It is not your goal, in this case, that you are not playing video games for the fun of it; you are playing video games because, as this post relates, you want to be special. Just play video games to be happy. Why be so negative?
